How to Use the Love Calculator
Enter two names, generate a repeatable love percentage, test reversed names and nicknames, and understand what this entertainment score means.
How does this guide help you use the Love Calculator?
This guide explains which values to enter, how the Love Calculator processes them, and how to read the resulting estimate. Follow the sections below to check assumptions, compare realistic scenarios, avoid common input mistakes, and understand when an official source or qualified professional should take priority over a planning result.
Before You Start
Choose two first names, nicknames, character names, or short phrases. The calculator accepts up to 80 characters in each field. The result is a deterministic text game, so no personal or relationship details are needed.
Enter Two Names
Type one name in each field. Leading and trailing spaces are removed, repeated spaces are compressed, and capitalization is ignored. For example, “Alex Smith” and “ alex smith ” are treated as the same normalized name.
Calculate the Love Score
Select Calculate or press Enter while the form is active. Both fields must contain a name. If a field is empty, the calculator displays an error summary and identifies the field that needs attention.
Read the Heart Score and Message
The result panel shows a percentage from 0% to 100%, both names, a playful label, a progress meter, and a positive prompt. These elements all describe the same entertainment score; they do not measure relationship compatibility.
Use Swap Names to Check Symmetry
Select Swap names to reverse the pair. The percentage stays the same because the calculator sorts the normalized names before scoring them. This is an intentional property of the formula.
Try Nicknames and Different Spellings
A nickname or spelling change creates different text and may therefore produce a different score. That change reflects only the algorithm's input string. It does not reveal anything new about the people or their relationship.
Download the Result
After calculating, select Download PDF to create a themed report containing the names, score, result label, positive prompt, method summary, and entertainment-only notice.
Positive Ways to Use the Calculator
- Use fictional characters for a story-night game.
- Compare full names and nicknames for fun.
- Share a compliment after revealing the score.
- Use the result as a light icebreaker, not a judgment.
- Try the same pair in reverse to verify the repeatable rule.
Privacy, Assumptions, and Limits
- Names are not placed in the page URL.
- The algorithm uses only the two entered text values.
- The result contains no randomness, research, or external compatibility data.
- The same normalized pair returns the same result.
- The calculator cannot assess attraction, trust, communication, safety, values, or relationship quality.
